How is your school or organisation supporting the estimated one in ten young people suffering from a diagnosable mental health problem? By the end of a 2020 Dreams Mental Health awareness training session, you will have a full understanding of all aspects of mental health and be empowered to give the students under your care all the help they need. We offer training packages suitable for school Inset training days and for PTA networks or groups.

Mental Health Focused Inset Training and Consultancy

If you are looking for a way to maximise the benefits of a 2020 Dreams Mental Health and Positive Thinking workshop, consider hiring our experienced team to conduct an Inset training day or provide a consultancy service.

With an Inset training session, we can coach key members of your team to deliver mental health workshops to our high standards. They will in turn be able to pass on the knowledge and skills learned to other staff members.

The sessions will include full training in two of the most powerful forms of youth engagement: interactive role-plays and open forum debates. These tools are ideal for helping students to see issues from another’s perspective, discuss their opinions and experiences and develop practical techniques for optimal mental health.

Our trainers will also show you how to address sensitive issues, how to ensure workshops are age and theme-appropriate and when and where to direct students for further support.

All skills and techniques learned on our Inset training days are fully transferable, able to be used in other types of workshop. This makes the investment even more economical.

Inset training days and consultancy sessions can also be tailored to your school or institution’s specific needs (e.g. suicide prevention, self-harm, eating disorders, etc.)

Publications

To support our work in raising awareness we have produced a number of books.

Topics include RSE, Knife Crime, Gang Prevention, Mental Health & more.

Our publications are suitable for both parents & teachers.

Customised PTA Mental Health Training

Could your school’s PTA funds help transform the mental health of all students?

They could if you choose to invest some of them in 2020 Dreams Mental Health training. PTA’s are designed to create consistency between parents, teaching staff and the school leadership team. They are therefore the ideal vehicle for raising and spreading mental health awareness throughout the home, school and wider community.

If a PTA mental health training session can help just one person to recover from mental health problems and live a happy and fulfilling life, it will have paid back its investment. Our aims are much higher – to create a resilient generation of mentally healthy young people.
